Just a quick shot from my own backyard from a few weeks ago. My oh my how the colors are disappearing so fast!!
A shot I took earlier this year in downtown DC at the National Botanic Garden.

An attempt at a black and white long exposure seascape while visiting North Point State Park, just outside of Baltimore, Maryland. I enjoy all those photos where water is turned into a misty cloud-like substance from long exposure.

My first visit to Meadowlark Botanical Gardens was overrun by several dozen wedding guests. Just because I’m carrying a camera doesn’t mean I’m here for the wedding and I think my torn jeans and grassy back would make that rather clear…yes, I accept tips.
Still unknown what I have actually photographed here. Any suggestions?

This photo was warmly received on Flickr, but also seemed to initiate a bit of discussion about great music within the comments and my Flickrmail. This is what I enjoy most about Flickr…how it can be so much more than just dumping photos on the internet for people to browse. It’s a community brought together by photography, but with so many more interests in common as well.

Some lyrics from the song “The End” on the album Abbey Road. I’ve been looking forward to the end of this oppressive DC summer for some time, but it still seems to be dragging out further than many would like.
Took this photo on my first voyage to the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in DC.

Lyrics from a wonderful song by my favorite “current” musical artist Ray LaMontagne.
I took this photo earlier this summer and really enjoyed the light that day…I think it’s already my fourth shot from that great gathering of Echinacea. I’m very pleased with this shot and have much thanks to the wonderful Flickr community for putting this on the Explore front page.
This photo has already made it’s way to Etsy.
